  • The IDF conducted a targeted strike in Beirut on Friday afternoon, the military announced. According to unconfirmed reports, the strike targeted a meeting between Palestinian and Hezbollah officials.
  • Reportedly eliminated target of the Israeli airstrike was Ibrahim Aqil, member of the Jihad Council, who led the elite Radwan Force. He has also been wanted by the US for his role in the 1983 bombing of a US Marines barracks in Beirut.
  • A Russian channel claims that the head of the Iraqi Hezbollah branch in Syria was eliminated in the attack, being at the meeting in Beirut.
  • A playground in the northern Israel city of Safed was hit by a rocket during a barrage of over 140 rockets that targetted Israel’s North on Friday.
  • Starting on Thursday afternoon, a total of about 100 rocket launchers and other military infrastructure were attacked, including about 1,000 rockets that were ready for immediate launch, the IDF said.
  • Senior Israeli officials, as reported by, are preparing for a significant escalation in military exchanges, unlike anything seen since the war began. As of Thursday evening, Lebanon has become Israel’s main battlefield.
  • The IDF is working to secure the northern region to enable residents to return home, while Israeli Defense Minister Gallant emphasized that Hezbollah is showing signs of weakness, and military operations will continue as planned.
  • Concerns have emerged internationally, with a senior U.S. Department of Defense official telling The Wall Street Journal that they are worried the situation may spiral out of control, potentially leading to a full-scale ground war between Israel and Lebanon. 
  • Turkish Foreign Minister Fidan also warned of the potential for a regional war, urging Israel to stop its aggressive actions.
  • Iran has expressed its stance through the commander of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, Hossein Salami, who threatened a harsh response from the „axis of resistance“ against Israel.
  • Reports from Al-Saudi Arabia revealed that the Iranian leadership has advised officials to avoid using phones, anticipating further responses against Israel in the coming days. Additionally, an explosion occurred at a military base in Tehran that specializes in producing ballistic missiles.
  • In response to the rising conflict, IDF combat forces are being redeployed from the Judea and Samaria to the Lebanese border to reinforce the northern front.

  • A New York Times report revealed that Israel’s Mossad established a shell company responsible for providing Hezbollah with pagers, which were rigged to explode. 
  • According to a leaked document from Hezbollah intelligence, 879 died in pager explosions, out of which 291 senior commanders.
  • Hezbollah sources told Al-Quds network that an initial investigation confirmed that the explosive material in the communication devices was hidden inside the battery structure. It was not detected by customs or by the organization’s specialized equipment
  • An American intelligence source told ABC News that Israel had planned the operation to infiltrate Hezbollah’s communication devices for 15 years.
  • Air France announced on Friday that it will resume its flights to Israel starting Saturday, Delta Airlines will not return to Israel until at least the beginning of next year.
