  • Israel’s chief negotiator for hostages and missing persons, Gal Hirsch, proposed offering Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar safe passage out of Gaza in exchange for the 101 hostages still in captivity on Tuesday. “We want the hostages back. We want demilitarization, de-radicalization of course — a new system that will manage Gaza,“ he stated.
  • Egypt and Qatar are considering issuing a statement that Israel is responsible for the failure of the negotiations.
  • The IDF confirmed publicly on Tuesday that it mistakenly killed three Israeli hostages along with Hamas northern Gaza brigade chief Ahmed Ghandour in November, which, until now, officials had only hinted to.

  • Jordanians voted on Tuesday in the first parliamentary election under a new law meant to dilute the outsized impact of tribalism and bolster political parties, with Islamists expected to gain support due to anger over Israel’s war in Gaza.

  • The governments of the UK, France, and Germany announced a series of new sanctions on the Iranian regime, following missile shipments from Tehran to Russia.

ISRAEL 🇮🇱 LEBANON 🇱🇧 GAZA

  • Benny Gantz: if no ceasefire struck soon, Israel must attack Hezbollah.
  • Defense Minister Gallant oversaw military exercises in the North, thanking troops and preparing them for an impending ground operation in Lebanon.
  • 15 rounds of HEZBOLLAH ROCKETS and SUICIDE DRONES, including multiple BARRAGES, fired at northern towns.
  • The commander of Hamas’ Tel al-Sultan Battalion, Mahmoud Hamdan, and three additional company commanders from the battalion were eliminated. He took a significant part in planning the massacre on Oct. 7. 
  • The Israel Defense Forces killed major Hamas military commanders embedded in humanitarian zone in an overnight operation in the Gaza Strip.
  • IDF Col. (Res.) Golan Vach was seriously injured Tuesday morning when a tunnel shaft collapsed on him in central Gaza.
  • Egypt agreed to allow Palestinian Authority Chairman and President-for-4-years-for-life Abu Mazen and Authority entourage to enter the Gaza Strip through the Rafah crossing – but demanded that Israel approve the visit. Israel refused.

  • The chief prosecutor of the International Criminal Court, Karim Khan requests to urgently issue arrest warrants against PM Netanyahu, Def Min. Gallant, and Hamas leaders Yahya Sinwar and (deceased) Muhammad Deif.

Switzerland 🇨🇭

  • The Swiss National Council passed a motion to halt funds for UNRWA, citing its reported incitement to terror and glorification of violence. The motion, passed by a small majority of 99 against 88, was filed already in March, and will have to pass in the confederation’s upper house, to enter into force.
